Hey! Thanks to many that helped with a previous post! We are doing a DIY remodel. We found all our stuff off FB marketplace. We even replaced two kitchen windows with one large and we love it!

Now the details. Stay with me, trying to condense this.

Sink:

I have wood cabinets and gold hardware. I am debating what sink-which I see is a big topic on here. Thinking a white cast iron Kohler undermount, black Kohler neoroc or a black elkay. I like stainless workstations, but I love my black and gold faucet more and don’t want to mix that with stainless sink.

Other details: My backsplash will be white KitKat tile 3/4 up the wall followed by white paint and a plain white hood range that will have a built in look over the stove.

Flooring:

I live in a ranch and can just continue the LVP into the kitchen or go light tile or black slate. LVP flows better and feels better, but looks wise checking in that it’s a solid choice. I don’t mind doing tile either, my goal is more the right look.

Random Wall:

I have a wall in the kitchen I don’t know what to do with. Some ideas are to put some shelving to the left with plants. And then on the staircase fireplace, add more plants or brick it up. Another idea is to vertical panel this entire wall, leave the fireplace exposed and do a big ole mantle.

Island:

It’s about 91in. It’s our old cabinets made into an island, but we will reface them and either stain or paint the island. I can’t think of a good color for it if I paint it.

Countertops:

I am looking at white corian or a Calcutta durasein.
