Hi. I don't know the proper name but I just call it a sofa with sloping arms. If you google images of that a number of them come up.

A deep neutral colour rug to help bring the furniture together with a silver riveted metal coffee table and Tassimo (or similar) coffee machine. OrThis is a bit disjointed, I don't have decent soft-wear on my computer but you get the idea. Still a curve in the sofa for a cosy get together feel, solid colour designed chairs with metal and glass occasional table and a fluffy rug for that warm snuggly feeling under the toes.

Thanks everyone! Ah, we only just got H&M where I live in Tasmania. Will have to have a look. Ah, kind of. I just found some colourful velveteen fabric that I liked and I guess they happened to match the rug a little. I'm now thinking maybe making a matching mustard cushion and buying/making two coral or pink cushions....and a throw! ha

Thank you all for voting! We went with a charcoal velvet sofa in the end, very squishy and comfortable - great for the library! Green velvet would have also looked great but as ever, budgets aren’t unlimited so we went with something that would hopefully fit in if the decor changed in the future!
