Help! Bathroom Makeover required
I'm looking for ideas on how to liven up my white marble bathroom. Cant justify any major changes so looking for accesorising ideas etc I used to have a bright pink bath mat and a coordinating orchid on the windowsill bt got bored with that. Not massively into bright colours throughout rest of house. Any ideas out there would be massively appreciated. Thanks

Comments (6)Hi. You may not be able to move the soil pipe to move the loo. Is the missing corner the boxing in of the pipes? This is the duo tub by omnitub which measures 1050 x 1050 which is obviously set in the same width bathroom as yours. It may be worth exploring to see if it's an option. If not large tiles so the space doesn't look busy with grout lines and a huge mirror will help. A vanity unit on legs will also help to give a feeling of space if you manage to find one in that size. Comments (12)I think painting the walls grey as suggested will help immensely with bringing the tiles into the scheme. The suite apart from the sink looks alright though, I would change the sink to a more modern shape and then you could include storage underneath. I had to replace a sink in my bathroom but I matched the dimensions of the original and there was no damage or repair work needed. An alternative sink could be rectangular in shape and this could cover any gaps in tiling etc. Left by your existing sink. Duravit do a good quality cheap one. Comments (6)I’d go for an art deco look. Navy blue, gold, bronze, cream, warm grey and pink. -Change the bath panel. Wood panelling painted dark blue. - Gold/grey/cream marble effect vinyl wrap over the top of the toilet/sink unit. - Paint sides of unit and doors in dark blue. switch out the handles to something modern in gold/bronze/rose gold. - Paint over the border tiles with a bronze/coppery tile paint - Change the bin. PRO3 years agoA bold change could be to paint the ceiling - a sage green could be calming, a soft pink adds some femininity or go dark and dramatic!
A new blind could make a big difference - a wooden Venetian would add some more texture, and could be tied in with some sandy toned accessories (bathmat, soap dispenser, some plants on the windowsill, or hanging)
3 years agoI think adding some wood would really warm the space up…a teak stool, wood blind and bath tray, a storage basket of some sort textured bath mats and towels and definitely some greenery! You could add a hook or two to the ceiling to hang plants.
