Hi Dundrum, sorry I don’t think grey would go at all, It was more to show you the variety of styles in vinyl rather than the colour. Here’s some more appropriate, warm shades, creams and beiges as well as wood effect. If you have time, visit a flooring shop and you will see 100s of examples, that’s what I did. I did also choose a Moroccan patterned vinyl below, but I’m not sure the shade is quite right? I really like the first dark wood effect one.

I‘m assuming it’s a suspended timber floor? You do have to take into consideration movement in timber floors but this can be greatly reduced by remedial work on the subfloor and the correct floor build-up. E.g: - Sistering/replacing damaged, bowed/sunken joists - Adding noggings to stiffen floor - Replacing floorboards with T&G plywood sheeting (minimum 18mm). Ends should fall on joists, glued and screw down. - Adding tile backer like Hardiebacker or DITRA matting, the latter of which has a decoupling membrane that is supposed to prevent subfloor movement from affecting the tiles.

I remember a friend once saying black tiles showed the dirt very easily and needed cleaning more often. All the images of the dark tiles show them used with a light coloured grout which would be needed to show the shape of the tile. I would go for a hexagonal shaped tile if that is what you like. Everything dates eventually. I think a brick tile pattern is now a bit dated. I think either of the lighter shades would look great

Before you set your heart on a wall hung vanity and toilet take a look at the frame required for the toilet as it is a considerable additional cost. The stud wall will also probably also need to be strengthened to take the weight of the wall hung vanity. I think I would consult a bathroom designer as there are so many factors to consider here. I would also start interviewing plumbers as some of them are very old school and might not have the relevant experience for what you are planning. A bathroom designer would have tradespeople to recommend. Think about lighting and flooring in addition to the layout. I am assuming the door is bottom left?
