Leave pebble dash or bring back bricks?
Comments (8)Pebbledash is a design crime!!! I'd see how damaged the bricks are by doing a patch. You do need to be careful though with the planners. Unbelievably our coastal village is currently locked in battle with the local planning department as more people want to remove the pebbledash for fibre cement ship lap cladding and the planners in their wisdom are against it, but they will now let us render in any colour....See MoreHelp with colour for exterior render and new front door.....
Comments (16)Thank you Colorhappy, I was secretly hoping you would comment as you clearly know all about colour, something I definitely struggle with a little. I think your suggestion of a stone colour for the render and a green blue for the doors would look lovely, and I love the idea of it relating to the greenery in the garden. Do you have any suggestions for a stone colour? I have looked at F&B for the green/blue, they have a paint actually named green/blue, but I am not sure if this is too much of a literal interpretation of your advice :-) I also like the oval room blue too, do you think this could work? I love Stiffkey blue, but not sure if this is too rich/deep a colour and would end up looking dark? The front of the house faces north but still gets lots of great light, the house is elevated somewhat so it is never in shadow if that makes any difference to our choice of colour?...See MoreRender or Brick Slips on Edwardian property?
Comments (6)I guess companies and products can vary business to business, We are aware from customers we speak to who have received samples from companies that not all people who advertise having genuine brick slips actually do there strange mixes of plastic, ceramic replicas etc. However The Brickslip Brothers do sell and even install genuine authentic products and there are methods in treatments available to helps blend the style, there so many unique advantages to this product, I am sorry for the experience you had with the company Titiankim, if its something you ever consider looking at again get in touch, all the best The Brick Slip Brothers....See MoreRender colour over pebble dash
Comments (12)This is it rendered -we get the sun in the front in the day which changes the colour a lot -I prefer it with our usual greyer Manchester skies! Think I could have gone a bit darker though...so hard to match it up with the front door!...See MoreCWD
