Render colour help needed

The exterior of our property is very brown and beige and we wanted to change the colour scheme to something with lighter/softer colours. A modern country feel. We are in the process of changing the windows to Agate Grey (RAL 7038) (the windows will also have astragal bars). But i would be very grateful for any thoughts on the render colour as well as the colour(s) for the gutters, facia and soffit. The front door will also be changed likely to agate grey too .

For the render I am thinking a pale grey/off white?

For the gutter, facia and soffit I was thinking Agate Grey too, but the guttering choices we have are black, white or anthracite. Also the facia on the peak above the stonework is quite visible, so the light agate grey between the dark tiles and stonework may look odd. Potentially the gutter, soffit and facia in black?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Looks like this could be a great project - I love a crisp white, the only thing is that it gets dirty easily. I'd make sure you get some plants and crawlers to add a green accent to the outside for a fresh, contemporary look!

Hi Charlotte I understand where you are coming from about the brick detail around the windows and sills which are lovely but they are small designer details whereas the porch is a much bigger area of bricks and if it were my home I would certainly render it as the rest of the house.Also although the porch has always been like that, it looks like it has been added on later, I may be wrong and just been left with bricks exposed.You have also got the nice brick paving around the house. Why don't you just print the picture of the house out, put a tracing sheet of paper over it and just colour in the porch the same colour as the render and you will get a better idea of how it will look. Or maybe render the porch and just as you have the brick detail around the windows just do the same around the porch, this would look really good too. Good luck Jean, Art Decor Designs

This was in 2011, when we just started renovating. Top windows are new (ral7039), walls ral9010. You see the neighbour on the right has bright white, the attached on the left some creamy tan. (Landscaping credits go to previous owner..) Don't have many new photo's, but this was a few months ago, when we had the front door and livingroom window done too (pvc): Lower edge on the wall still needs some paint.. And landscaping hasn't been done yet either, but we did take out the dug in roof tiles.. (plus we're slow renovators LOL no stress)

Work with the colour of your stone frontage. Difficult to tell the actual tone - the second image makes it look cooler into the blue/grey tones whereas the first looks more brown. My personal preference would be the second, BUT only if the stone has enough grey/blue in it.

Mock up apps are your friend...

Before you decide on final colours it might be a good idea to get the stonework cleaned, also try not to go all grey, have. Look at RAL 7032 for gutters and downpipes.
