Hi ,I plan to install a walk in shower on same side of room.I like the current tiles on the opposite wall so plan to keep them but looking for ideas of colour/design of proposed wall panelling on shower side. Plan also to replace toilet with comfort height one. Also would like a Vanity unit and new sink. All ideas gratefully received. Thank you. Alison

Thank you. I love the floor tiles and dark contrasting wall.In your diagram what length is the shower tray please? Im finding it difficult to envisage if say a longer one e.g.700 cms would be a trip hazard at sink level ? Re the sink vanity unit/bench -is it possible to buy units that incorporate a bench like this or are they stand alone units ? Appreciate any suggestions/advice. Alison

Hi Alison, I used a 1500x700 shower tray. Unless you have a tiled wet room tray, yes I think a longer one could be a trip hazard. The vanity unit and bench are standalone IKEA units in the app I used, shrunk to fit the space. I think B&Q did a combined unit, but doesn't seem to be available anymore. If you are planning to keep some wall tiles, go for shower panels without a tile pattern. What colour are your tiles? Grey or beige? Hard to tell from your photos.

Many thanks for your comments/suggestions.Hubby reckons 1600 long tray do you think that would work? We may decide to keep the sink and forego furniture as.most basins we see are not to out liking e.g shallow bowl. That allows more floor space too.

Looking at a screen 865 mm with a 300mm flipper panel which rotates 180 degrees which would allow a generous entry gap of 600mm approx. for our old age !

Good point about not using tile like panels never thought if that. Current tiles are light grey almost a very light blue in some lights

If you use a 865mm screen, it will make no difference having a longer shower tray. I've got a 745mm screen and flipper with my 1400mm tray, which gives me a 600mm entry.

Have you looked at semi-recessed basins for vanity units? They can be deeper, and the vanity is very useful for storage.

I think you need some storage so I would not forgo the vanity unit. My bathroom is tiny and I got a sink/vanity combo which takes up little space but provides lots of storage. Here’s mine in white, but the vanities are available in several colours. Mine was from a local bathroom showroom.

An issue we have is the space available 584mm and most units we like are 600mm-dash it !

There are 600 and 550's but basins ate very shallow or too short projection .

Sorry Alison I'm confused (I blame the heat!) are you thinking of doing away with your bath, and place a walk in shower in that space?

Pauline Ludford Hi Thanks for replying and commiserations re the heat! Yes removing the bath and replacing with either wet room shower/glass panel OR very low profile shower tray with glass panel.Cost will no doubt be the decider I think.
