How wide it the total width across? if it is wide enough (at least 1200 - 1500) you might be able to have wall units 300mm deep as floor units with the addition of legs. Do you think you have enough storage or worksurface? If you like this idea the bin would have to find a new home.

Consider making the back door into a window so there is an extra wall for cabinets. You could then make the side window into a back door.

If you move the back door you might also consider a slightly deeper worktop (so less floor space but more working space). And there are lots of great storage options clueing pull out and taller and deep wall cabinets.

A few initial thoughts:

- A more slimline to the wall radiator change

- It would be advisable to brick up the wall on the appliances side, because lots of beautiful natural light already emanates from the window on the opposite side (most galley kitchens are not so lucky)

- Some wall art on the wall side with the radiator, canvas might be a letter option, as frames might dominate this wall instead of keeping it clear (or white frames to keep clean lines)

- I am unable to see the cabinet handles very clearly - but handles are a really inexpensive way to transform furniture and cabinet and to modernise a space.

- Shelving would be the most obvious fit in a galley kitchen, but this would depend if you plan on changing the cabinet sizes as per Isla's post.

- Wall lighting or symmetry ceiling lighting in a galley kitchen to create a focal point and provide extra light

- Opt for a lighter coloured back door to take the focal point to the main wall OR you could change the back door design to replace the light lost from 'bricking up' the glazed window! (see image)

- Introducing glossy tiles is a great way to add a reflective surface to create the illusion of a bigger space :)

- Consider also a slimline cooker hood (less dominating) see picture

Hi, thank you for the ideas but unfortunately the door at the end has to remain as a door as it goes into a storage lean to.

I would be tempted to change the window to double doors to connect the outside courtyard. Can the lean to be accessed from the courtyard. If it can blocking the door would give extra space for full height larder etc.
