Looking at the style of your house, I would go black inside and out. As Black and Milk says, it can provide a lovely frame for the outside and don’t forget black is a receding colour so won’t be in your face. My sister has anthracite sliders in her kitchen and your eyes are drawn straight to her lovely garden. Don’t forget Scandi styling often used black as a highlight. Here’s a couple of examples.

I have what you describe in my modern industrial conversion. We bought the house when it was completed. I have been here almost two years and at first I did wish I had crittal black window frames. Now I am glad they are white. I also think you have to consider the light and you will get a much lighter airier feeling from having white inside. It also depends on what colours you are plannning to paint the inside. Ours is mostly white and soft neutrals (paint) so black would be too much of a contrast. Enki, Scandinavian Living and Nordic Living are readily available and illustrate what you are considering. They might be helpful. Another factor is the interior design. Think about the style you prefer. That would also influence your choice. I would also consider window treatments as that is a factor too. Thanks for your advise. Its probably going to be shades of white to start - with wood floors and maybe adding pops of bright colours with soft furnishings. No curtains or window dressing required upstairs as not overlooked. The build is in an elevated site overlooking the bay. Will have a looksee at the magazines you suggested too.

Your house looks amazing. I looked at the Modern House and all the Scottish modern houses have black window frames inside. I also have pale oak floors downstairs and a very light cream carpet upstairs so very neutral. Depends on your overall style too. I don't have any bright colour just black accents, lots of taupe, grey and off-white.

Love this as I’m having the same melt down and have just posted on the topic. I think the answers have swayed me to black on black in the main living area and white on black for softness in the bedrooms. Ringing the window company first thing to change the order 😜
