I thought I'd update everyone as to what we settled on as most of you won't have seen the finished post. Went went for Little Greene French Pale Grey on the walls and then a Grey Quartz worktop which had worked quite well. To stop it from being clinical, we opted for some textured wallpaper in the dining area which is Bala Storm (I think) from John Lewis. We then added some natural tones using a wooden table, and then Vitra chairs. Along with wooden fruit bowl etc. The main window will have wooden venetian blinds, and the bay windows will probably be done in a darker grey material as the perfect fit style blinds you find in conservatories

Hi Lou Ella, These colours will look great for your kitchen. As an alternative, if you haven’t already bought the paint, how about trying Dulux’s Frosted Steel, teamed with the darker shade of Misty Mirror? Both these shades have blue undertones in them so will sit nicely next to your blue kitchen tiles. For wall colours in a kitchen, I’d suggest using our Kitchen+ Matt finish as this is 10 times tougher than our conventional matt and silk emulsion paint, and is stain and grease resistant to withstand common household stains such as tea, coffee etc. If you also wanted a quick update to your cupboards, you could try painting them in our Eggshell paint in the Frosted Steel colour, which will really tie it all together Make sure you prime your cupboards first with Dulux’s Primer and Undercoat for Multi-Surfaces to make sure the paint has something to stick to. Hi Cake lady thanks for your comment. I have considered the wood effect tiles. However the kitchen adjoins a hall which has an oak laminate floor. I'm concerned the two different types of wood will clash. what do you think? Good to know they're low maintenance. I'm steering well away from gloss tiles as spent years trying to keep black gloss tiles clean in our bathroom. Finally replaced last year !

It`d be more understandable if you could attach a photo of what it might look like approximately, just not very clear what you mean. I think with such a question you should contact directly to the company, which will do it, but I can tell you something about the countertop. I advise you to choose quartz, as this material is the most durable, it has a great glossy sheen, as you want, it`s resistant to moisture, and since it will be in the bathroom - this is the most important criterion.
