Help - original 1930s timber cladding replacement

last modified: 2 years ago

Our house needs repairs to the brickwork in between the two front bay windows, which will require the original timber cladding to be removed (see photo - to the right of the front door, partially hidden by the tree). Our builder does not think he can save the cladding, and he does not know anyone who can replace it in the same style. We are keen to keep the same style, both to save us having to replace both areas of cladding (since only the middle bit needs to be removed), and also to stay matching with the other houses on the street. Does anyone know what kind of specialist I would need to contact for this, or even what this type of cladding is called? It's quite commonly seen in West Yorkshire where we live. Thanks in advance!
