I think its a vast improvement and I really like the open space. You will have many options as it's a much better layout. Is there enough depth to hide the support steels in the ceiling space or will you have box uts visible? If the downstairs wc is remaining where it is then I don't understand the double door thin passage arrangment? It\s like a foyer but really dead space. What is the function of the space above it?

The double door for the downstairs toilet, is something that we pointed out and the architect will amend as I thought exactly what you said as in it will be a dead space.

That will make a big difference. It will be much more spacious.

Yes, that downstairs loo arrangement is difficult to understand but you cannot have the loo directly accessed from the kitchen can you? s the garage conversion a bedroom - if it is, makes sense to have an en-suite. The bifolds in the sitting room will make furniture arrangement difficult and I just think it’s better to have a totally separate sitting room when you have large open plan kitchen diners if you can. Assume that you have a utility in that other space - would it be possible to have loo access from there instead as this would free up space for the en-suite.

The only change I would make is to knock the wc and corridor together in order to make this a laundry space. I would then move the wc to the narrow end of that triangular space

siobhanmcgee90 We thought about the bifold indoors - we would like to separate the two areas buts still make it feel open and connected. The other option would be to put pocket doors so at least you get left and right wall to put kitchen cupboards etc. and then in the middle you have a double pocket door ?
