I need help with my bathroom layout!
Comments (3)I think that you need 70cm of knee room in front of your wc so I think designs 2&3 are all no go. Although I’m sure people will argue they prefer the wc to not be the first thing you see when you enter, in a small space you must make decisions based on convenience so for me design 4 is better but you should turn the basin onto the other wall to have more standing room....See MoreHow would you reorganise this bathroom layout?
Comments (8)I have a different idea depending on how creative you'd want to go with it... In this bathroom the bath got pushed to the space formerly occupied by the shower. I'm not sure how much width you've got there, but it would be possible to place a bath in there, which would clear a lot of the floor area. Cupboards 1-3 are fitted housing the pipework, water cistern for the toilet, possibly a radiator under the window, storage space in the upper parts of cupboards 1&3. You could build a big unit on the wall and surrond the window on all sides to really streamline the space and maximise the storage. What do you think about this idea?...See MoreWhich bathroom layout? Or can you think of something better?
Comments (17)Hi @Ursa Pirjevec - thanks so much for the above, really kind of you to take the time. Certainly lots to think about. Reason for not moving WC and basin are that they are already there - budget basically. Basin near window is also good for light. Don't need a second basin as there's one in the dressing room. I had considered bath under windows but I think I might use this area for low level storage, chair to put clothes one etc... I really like what your bath looks like in theory, but cleaning around the base is awkward...what you've done with the shower is interesting however am trying to avoid tight angular corners as these are a bit tricky for cleaning/make accumulate damp/mould...But thank you so much anyway - this has been really helpful. I think I'm likely to go with option 4 but interested to know if anyone knows where to get a cuttable shower tray? Or a wet room base that can be altered to fit an awkward asymmetrical shape? (which is most cost effective?!)...See MoreHelp with bathroom layout
Comments (7)Hi there. I think you are right in regards to the basics layout of the room if you would like to retain a bath but the fittings (and decor) need updating. What would work best in my view would have a free standing bath shower, but you need something like the image attached to over come your restricted wall space due to the window position. This along with complimentary wc and sink (could be a vanity and sink combo). Fresh tiling and decor is ideal. At the foot of the bath it looks like you have space for some simple storage/ vanity for bathroom essentials and a mirror over. All combined, and you will have a generous bathroom which will be a pleasure to be in. Kind regards Donal...See More- 2 months ago
