Hi, we are refurbishing most of our house with 2 major side extensions and internal works. We have chosen black aluminium windows but can't decide on the colour of the sills or the render to offset the Windows. It will have a slate roof and planned black soffits and fascias. Also can't decide if we should have horizontal bars on the Windows. It's a lodge style property and by the sea. Thanks for all advice in advance

We are about to embark upon a house re-design - existing and proposed plans attached. I am keen to use a Rockpanel Chameleon Cladding on the front of the house (which is on the beach) - this material changes colour depending on the effect of the light and the angle from which it is viewed (in this case blue to green to purple). Originally we thought to put the material in the middle of the house, however, this doesn't look right - so not sure. We will probably increase the 3 window/door panels on the left to four - all ideas gratefully received.

We are building a large extension on our house and will be rendering it white but can't decide on a) whether to cladding the top half (agate grey) and if so what colour windows to have. our windows are too big for sash windows and we have been put off Georgian windows from a number of windows companies due to light. our issue is that as the house isn't built, we cant take photos and see what it looks like. we need to choose soon. our options are light grey cladding and white windows, no render and agate windows.. or maybe agate cladding and windows. any advice welcomed

I rather like the honey brickwork, but that Stone cladding is just weird, isn’t it? I loved charred wood and remember someone on a George Clarke program using it, and to save money they charred it all themselves! A lot of work but it looked amazing. I think cladding over the stone cladding would look rather nice. It will give it a modern feel without ruining the aesthetics too much.
