Bathrooms Design Dilemma

Bathroom layout

This is a new room and thus anything goes. The window will be 3 panes and the door placement is as. There will be a crawl space where the window is. The architect has just put stuff in randomly and it doesn’t work. We like flitting toilets wall. Would like a separate shower and bath. Benn scratching my head on this one.

Well I would recommend this ensuite layout but the door in the middle

Access to the master bedroom WIC is too far from bedroom door, people Will need to walk across entire bedroom everytime changing clothes and bed is located straight against bedroom door,

if you don't want to move the bed and like ITS position facing the balcony then add divider wall between the bed and the door so when sleeping you cant see the door and when enter you cant see person face directly it Will feel very uncomfortable if you proceed with this floorplan

Also on another ensuite probably better to place washbasin near the door so when you just want to quickly wash your hand doesnt need to go across toilet and reminder everytime you use toilet to wash your hand

Thank you for your advise. I had thought about moving the main bathroom door. This is the main bathroom as it serves a downstairs bedroom. Lots to think about

Both Hansgrohe and (Friedrich) Grohe are German companies; Friedrich was a son of Hans who went on his own in the 1930s, so they share a certain heritage. These days, Grohe is larger and no longer family owned. Both produce outside Germany as well as on their original German sites still. Both produce "basic" and "high-end" ranges. They're both regarded well back home in Germany, much of the choice is down to personal preference. Hansgrohe is on average slightly more expensive (but not on everything). They also own the Axor design brand which has a more "ecletic" selection. One can mix-and-match; in our bath (bit messy, sorry - we're using it for the washing up while waiting for the kitchen to be installed), the mixer is Grohe as is the shower wall outlet, the shower rail and head shower arm (just above the shower screen) are Hansgrohe pieces. At least the chromed finishes are very close for the two: Both can be sourced well below retail list prices - if you're prepared to wait, German online sellers for bathroom goods tend to have many-months delivery timelines. For Grohe essentials (the classical Grotherm mixers) at least, any German DIY shop stocks these at very attractive prices (the difference to the UK retail price list will pay for the ferry ticket and fuel).

Can you move the door on the side where the sink currently and place the sink adjacent with the toilet? Because by current layout the bathroom Will be cramped and if you open the door you Will look directly at the toilet The ideal layout usually to align them in one wall so it creates seamless pathway from the door that placed near the opposite wall If moving the door isnt possible then switch the placement of the current toilet and the sink (the toilet directed toward shower just to make sure it doesnt hinder opening up the current door)

I would move the basin back to the wall opposite the wc. The benefit being you won’t be stood under a beam, it’s a wider space allowing a better mirror and storage. Plus it frees up some wall space near the shower for a towel rail.

Keep the same layout but bath where the shower is and move the ahower along a bit Cepending on storage requirements I also like the shelf behind the bath in the last pic for toiletries etc
