Looks a lovely project ! Did you mean to add a sketch with the proposed extended sizes too ? As I can’t see one ? Kitchens can be planned by lots of shops and showrooms beautifully, if you just want to tackle that one area - but most kitchen suppliers won’t have the time to work with you, keeping you involved in the design process, so you and the designer can tailor the kitchen, dining and living area to suit your particular space and your unique family and how you want it to work for you. By working with a Concept Planner ( like us, for example ) allows you to be part of the complete area’s design process... then you can just shop around and compare like for like with lots of suppliers ... Might be a good way to proceed ?

That’s a shame. Could you claw it back by not going ahead with some of the internal works? What struck me when you uploaded the pre photo was how much of that lovely spacious lounge you had sacrificed for a bigger kitchen and inner hall. It looks like you propose moving a supporting wall which doesn’t come cheap. If you didn’t go ahead with that would the funds saved go some way towards building an extension to the front of the garage? If the utility was there then you would keep your spacious lounge and still get your larger kitchen/dining/garden room with more options as to the configuration than you have now.

Hi I was wondering whether I can have some advice on our kitchen layout. We planned to get our sunroom converted to an extension. Unfo Unfortunatel, we got let down by the contractors we hired who turned out to be professional scammers! Lots of tears and 6 months later, we are ready to get our kitchen done again but leaving the sunroom as is for now. How would you maximise the space? bearing in mind we are ok with the dining table being in the sunroom f. looking forward to all your suggestions! thank you these are suggestions we have received from a builder (just keeping all the units in the ”kitchen” space) : would love a kitchen island, if not a breakfast bar and plenty cupboard space. thanks in advance

I think on our drawing the island is much too big. We had the idea of integrated dining at the end of the island but I think that is going to be too limiting so would like a separate dining table and thinner island. I agree with the other comments who said anything much more than 1.2 deep is wasted space! I love the idea of the kitchen on the angled wall and the little seating area on the nook bit between the steel nib and the doors. Yes this is the only access to the garden. The utility and loo will be behind a pocket door so contain noise etc away from the dining area and I like the dining by the fireplace. I'm going to get a few kitchen people in but wanted to be armed with some ideas and options and everyone's been so helpful!
