Decorator refused to wallpaper our room - please help
Comments (92)I love Josette wallpaper. I used it on my chimney breast in my old bedroom. Loved it so much, another shade went up under the dado up the stairs and in the hall in my house too. We then moved and we have it now in our new bedroom in yet another shade! I put the paper up in my old bedroom. It’s tricky but not the worst paper I have ever hung....See MorePlease critique the room
Comments (38)I thought the room looked lovely. The one thing that jumped out to me was the size of the art. I would have hung much larger or one gigantic piece. I agree with the comment of placing the floral cushions on the unpatterned sofa. You mention your "pop" colour - your accent colour should be gold as this is the weave colour through the curtains, the tone of the tripod lamp and the colour of the castors on the sofa and coffee table. It would add some glam to a very traditional room. Also if you want the room to be simultaneously radical and traditional hang a huge canvs but leave it unframed. If you want the room to present as more "posh" but still en trend hang the art in gold tone frames as these are still part of your accent colours....See MoreNeed dimension help with my shower room please.

Comments (15)I like the room. Personally I would go for a dark colour on the tv wall so the tv etc blends in. Rather than buy a new rug I would spend the money on a cane and rattan chair, there are a few around ATM at really reasonable prices and you can pick up velvet curtains cheaply. I would also add another large plant. I couldn't get a wall colour similar to the one in the other pic but maybe look at something like this or just the cabinet colour. When budget allows I would add an arc lamp behind the sofa and a table lamp on the sideboard as this will add to a cosy feeling....See More- 12 years ago
