When I first saw this Mediterranean-style home, it was a cacophony of overblown and exaggerated attempts at Old World Style. Think walls covered with faux paint treatments, large scaled formal furniture and massive crystal chandeliers. The homeowners felt that this design approach did not feel authentic and I wholeheartedly agreed. This was a great opportunity to showcase one of my design philosophies: a home may have Mediterranean architecture but the interior can reflect differently.

We refurbished the entire interior and exterior of the home. Some special features include a built-in cocktail bar under the stairwell for entertaining, a spacious custom home office and a stylish, inviting poolside oasis with outdoor kitchen, el fresco dining area and fireside lounge. The result of the modern design is a home that is a fresh, contemporary take on country club living.
