Lovely, thoughtful article - thanks. Leg space is a consideration but I'm sure the article had a word limit - so thanks to Maree Dixon for commenting to add this point. :)

What a great article, some lovely tips! When working with clients, we always recommend having their home office space in an area where they are less likely to be disturbed. An office right next to the kitchen or the front door for example, isn't the best location if you need silence, and do not wish to be disturbed!

We would always recommend positioning your desk facing a window too; you cannot beat natural light for productivity and motivation!

It's understandable to have the desks all pointing to the wall to maximise the amount of space and such. However if it's a full home office from which someone is working from (to earn money) one might want to consider the simplest form and logic of feng shui principles which is ideally not to have your back to the door or window. Have the wall behind you to offer support and protection, facing the door.
