This open plan kitchen/living area is enhanced perfectly by two kinds of our luminarires; firstly our Faze Edge 100 diwnlight is spaced throughout for ambient lighting and also the Graypants Chrona pendants in the corner that create a luminous glow through spun brass and acrylic diffusers.

Glass beams were used within this project, which is a popular choice when designing extensions like this one as the beams offer minimal interruption to the views of the surrounding cityscape. Single track sliding door from minimal windows was used to create access to the balcony and allow the breezy air to flow through.

A south facing extension has been built to convert a derelict Grade II listed barn into a sustainable, contemporary and comfortable home that invites natural light into the living spaces with glass extension to barn. Glovers Barn was a derelict 15th Century Grade II listed barn on the ‘Historic Buildings at Risk’ register in need of a complete barn renovation to transform it from a dark, constrained dwelling to an open, inviting and functional abode. Stamos Yeoh Architects thoughtfully designed a rear south west glass extension to barn with 20mm minimal sightline slim framed sliding glass doors to maximise the natural light ingress into the home. The flush thresholds enable easy access between the kitchen and external living spaces connecting to the mature gardens.

They marry perfectly with Silestone Yukon Quartz for the stunning Island coupled with 30mm White Macubus Quartzite to create the drop down seating area. The Spice Kitchen is designed with Cream doors and Cosmic Gold Granite surfaces. To the rear is the utility in the same specification. The area is completed with stunning Porcelain flooring throughout.
