Inspiration for a small retro study in Toulouse with multi-coloured walls, beige floors and wallpapered walls.

This iconic apartment building is in the heart of Wellington, with original features and natural light in abundance. We conceived a simple design that was of the era but not too fussy, and joinery to house their extensive library. The colour palette is not shy and compliments the mid century aesthetic.

A nod to mid-century design, built around a clean two-tone tile layout. Deep burgundy grid tiles wrap the lower walls and bath apron, framed by a thin pencil border. Cream tiles above keep light flowing from the window. Over the bath, an exposed chrome shower column features a classic overhead rose and a flexible hand spray, paired with a soft, tailored red-and-cream striped curtain that adds textile warmth. A simple wall-hung washbasin with crosshead taps keeps the floor area feeling open, giving the space an authentic, understated edge.

Compact shower room at Sawtooth House with peach wall tiles, pink painted walls, black fittings, a framed mirror, wall light and slim white basin unit. The room sits off the open plan living space beside built in bookshelves, using warm colour and simple detailing to create a small but characterful bathroom.

Design ideas for a small retro single-wall open plan kitchen in London with a single-bowl sink, flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, laminate countertops, mirror splashback, integrated appliances, dark hardwood flooring, no island and brown floors.
