Review for Zenico
This was our first renovation project and we could not have done it without Tim and the Zenico team.
Right from the very start Tim was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. He explained the whole process, helped us plan a realistic timeline (we had to arrange alternative accommodation), gave us recommendations for architects, builders and other tradesmen to approach for a quote, helped us to benchmark the quotes against other projects he had worked on recently and provided an essential sounding board for us. It was easy to discuss ideas with him, and get his input (and he had an opinion - if you wanted it - on everything which was super helpful!)
During the build phase is where we really got to know Tim and the value of having him on board. He managed the contractors, made sure they were sticking to what they committed to do and that we were only paying them for works that had been completed. When we hit unexpected issues he was able to provide an important check on the solutions proposed by the contractors and made sure that costs did not get out of control.
We ended up adding additional work into the contractors' scope once the project started. Tim made sure that the contractor priced those additional works fairly, by benchmarking against other projects he was involved with. At times he also proposed solutions that were more cost effective than what the contractor was proposing.
When it came to choosing suppliers for the finishes, Tim had excellent recommendations that we ended up using for most things and he was also able to secure us great trade discounts.
Our project completed virtually exactly on the day that the contractor had promised at the start, and we can say this with absolute confidence that this could not have happened without Tim and Zenico
