You don't have to just have stone at 20 cm high.
Laminate works ok, and up to 10 cm high looks great too.
Why not mention cheaper alternatives?!?

There is one significant tip missing within the top 10: choose your flooring carefully, many of the tips are for items that can easily be upgraded in the future without too much disruption. Fixing a problem with the floor finish can cause major kitchen disruption and cost.
In the same context, consider running the flooring through and under the island bench structure (make it movable or mobile) to enable the fine tuning of the distance between wall bench and island bench but of course don't plan the sink in the island, who wants to see the washing up in the middle of the room anyway.

Thanks for sharing all these inspirational storage ideas. I don't like the idea of storing outerwear, homework, office supplies, cleaning supplies, or pet-related items in a kitchen though. Keep the kitchen cleaner and expand storage solutions to other parts of the house that aren't involved with food. I love a house with planned storage.

These are genius ideas!
My only reservation is the countertop produce storage. Light exposure triggers sprouting in poatoes and onions, and also toxic solanine (the green color) production in potatoes. These should always be stored in dark, cool places. Other produce, such as apples and oranges will stay fresher if stored in the fridge. A few produce items are better left at room tempurature.

Nice for those who can afford it. Pro tip: get items at thrift stores and even off the curb on trash day. You'll be surprised by the excellence of items that are donated or simply thrown away.
