Thanks luis!
There has to be 8+ hours of direct sun, but my trees are casting more shade each year, so I'll keep an eye on that.
I've noticed this from day one.
Removing the twiggy growth was what I wondered about and will do that.
I haven't fertilized at all yet but considering my soil type and nutrient levels, I'll do a little next spring.
Thanks again! ;-)

When I went back to get them, already sold out. Kicking myself cause I'd love to get blooms faster in my super short growing season.

At this time of the year, inventory levels drop but some places put panicles for sale. keep an eye for sale ads.

Nice but they are starting to block a lot of the views from the windows. They may need rejuvenation pruning. If they do prune, consider asking for cuttings.

The house is on a busy road, with no sidewalks, no place to pull over, and is also in a curve on a hill. Dangerous photo ops,
Now we dont want to put you in mortal danger but I am confident that you can find a way Dee!

I have seen this display for a few years but it is just yesterday that I decided to park and take a couple of pics. The symmetry appeals to me.

This is its first spring and early summer in my garden.
I will know better come next season.

I think @ostrich grows (or once grew) Little Hottie.
