Worst customer service ever! I purchased Thermador appliances expecting excellent quality and durability, especially considering how much money I spent.

I recently discovered that both racks in my dishwasher were rusting extensively along their lower sections. When I contacted customer service, I was told that because the dishwasher was just a couple of months past its five-year warranty, there was nothing they could do. I was left with no choice but to purchase replacement racks at my own expense.

Today, I discovered rust spots on the floor of my oven. Even though I purchased an extended warranty, customer service told me that rust is not covered.

I find this completely unacceptable. These are expensive, high-end appliances, and I expected much better quality, durability, and customer support. Having rust develop on both dishwasher racks and the oven floor is extremely disappointing. What makes the situation even worse is the company's unwillingness to help its customers when these problems arise.

The appliance has a warranty period. Your definition of "company's unwillingness to help its customers" implies that you expect the manufacturer to just give you stuff. Nope.

Thermador warranty excerpt: "The warranty coverage...excludes all defects or damage that are not the direct fault of BSH, including...Ordinary wear and tear, spills of food, liquid, grease accumulations or other substances..."
