Comments (17)What’s on the other side of the arch? It looks like it was a second room? If so, I’d be tempted to style it as a second room - maybe a cosy reading nook or a study area. it all depends on what you need the room to do. Maybe start the process by thinking about what’s good about the current set up and what frustrates you......See MoreKitchen Fitting Advice / Help Needed Please........
Comments (16)Can’t believe the fitter says it’s what you can expect with the budget. A good fitter is a good fitter whether the kitchen is from Howdens or a top kitchen company. My kitchen was from Wrens so a similar kitchen, nothing fancy but affordable at the time. There were no chips or damage. I wouldn’t pay him a penny more. Your photos are difficult to see in context and not easy to see exactly what we are looking at so I suggest you take photos further back for when you contact Citizens Advice. Sorry this has happened to you. Too many cowboys out there 😡...See MoreDownstairs extension & reconfiguration help needed please!
Comments (3)Hi Liam, when you start your home making journey, there are steps to follow; big steps and little ones in between. Getting ahead of yourself is risky and potentially costly. Houzz is an amazing platform and you can get some incredible, valuable advise here, but in order to solve the problems you need to ask the right questions. If you focus too early on what the solution is without properly identifying main problems you will probably end up with a bad design. Take your time with identifying core issues. List the problems that need solving. Is your space practical, is it functional, is it light, dark, warm, cold, too big, too small, too messy, too busy? Is it connecting or is it isolating. Is it interacting, is it supportive of your life. How do you want your house to serve you? Is your house supportive of your and your family lifestyle? What user experience are you trying to achieve? It is the function of the space that will make your design successful. At the moment your possibilities are endless. Prepare your brief well and then hire a professional that will help you find solutions. You can't do this on your own. Good luck with your project. Best wishes Suzanne & Joseph...See MoreBathroom layout help needed please!
Comments (5)It feels a little cramped to me as your access to the bath is so restricted. I’ve just put this layout together that might be worth a try. (it would require a slightly smaller bath) if you can, get some boxes in there to represent furniture and move around it before committing to anything. Also, are you planning a freestanding bath and tap?? this might look squashed in and therefore make the room feel smaller (also really hard to keep it clean round the back) I would consider a back to wall bath with the space you have. re towel rail, bit stumped on that too, could it go behind the door??...See Moreboundsgreener
