The colors you have work together well: white, grey and maroon. They need to be balanced around the room. A patterned rug, white coffee table accent pieces, and shades instead of curtains for a smoother line. I'd place the mirror on the narrow wall with the clock above it (reverse exclamation point) to add quirk and interest. Lighting seems to be an issue: add floor lamp at one end of sofa and an end table at the other end crate, stump, something unique but functional). Add floating shelves to the same beside the TV with light colored objects of art to reflect the light and stand out from the maroon wall: white antlers, candle sticks, linen wrapped books, etc.

Personally I think eclectic what I would do. I think I would be looking for a contemporary four poster bed, choosing velvet and metallics for a lux feel but then teaming it with contemporary white textured furniture. (Images from the Next catalogue) For the same reason I also think that Chinese style white furniture also works. (VidaXL) However for me the mid century ceiling light is the wrong style and is too small for the space.

Thanks for your thoughts Minnie. It’s a tricky one for me.. i prefer one arm chair in the room which i guess works better with most recent layouts pictured above. Equally, i like the 3 seater by the window (feels much more cosy when seated & conversing) but thinking one armchair opposite TV would look a little odd. Rectangular table by the balcony could work with 3 seater opposite TV, however would mean putting not armchair to the right of tv by the kitchen which im not sold on 😩. Would love more opinions on 1 armchair or two please? Also does anyone think shelving on any of the walls for pics, ornaments would work?

Ah you are very welcome! Yes it does look like you could center it on that wall then and add shelves. If you can't find vintage ones you could use new wood and paint them to match and add some decorative finishes to it.
