pale grey kitchen, white worktops - wall colours ??
Comments (5)Thank you Sophie. Your kitchen is lovely and is exactly the look Im aiming for. I'm thinking of something like F&B strong white for the walls. Do you recall the colour you used ?...See MoreWhat colour kitchen walls? Grey units/oak worktops
Comments (15)In my opinion it is the saturation level of the paint that is the problem. The beauty of your kitchen is the natural flooring and the wooden worktops, it looks earthy. This is swamped by the blue paint, it just looks wrong. Without seeing the cupboard door colours close up it is tricky but I would suggest looking for something a bit darker than the cupboards but with the same hue. If you want a strong contrasting wall a deep olive green would work as it would balance the wood and the purpley greys....See MoreGap between kitchen worktop and wall advice please
Comments (10)A 20mm gap is far to much to have as the upstands are only 20mm thick, if the fitters tried to fit the upstands to the walls then it would slip down the back. The overhang of the worktop to the front of the cabinets, depending on the depth of the cabinets, should be between 30-40mm all round, be worthwhile checking this out. When you say the tap doesn't fit easily, is it that the hole is to small (35mm) or does the tap hit the upstand. I assume the kitchen (base units at least) were all in place and fitted before templating and haven't moved between template and worktop installation. I think the fitters have tried to make the best out of a bad job and something went wrong in either templating or fabrication. Your supplier should still have the physical templates so I'd definitely go back to them. There's always a bit of filling to be done between the upstands and the wall with decorators caulk as no wall is flat and upstands don't bend. Modern dob and dab walls are some of the worst i've seen. Hopefully its decorators caulk and not silicon thats been used....See Morewhich colour to paint wall between kitchen and conservatory
Comments (7)I think it should be same colour as the other wall on left as it has kitchen tiles on it so think it should stay same.....unless you paint them all.....See MoreSarah Buxton
