You need to consider lots of things when designing overall floor layouts - walkway space, where the sun comes in from, how many inhabitants live here and how many likely guests etc - your kitchen dining for example doesn’t look to have enough walkway space around it and looks too small for six as you’d be overlapping plate space etc etc For projects like this, if you plan to live here some time, it’s worth booking a pro ( like a concept planner ) to either check things through with you, ie working with you to get things right - taking on board all of the info available and coming up with a viable safe design. If this is just a house flip then what ever you do will probably be redone by new owners anyway, so not so important !

Hi! There are plenty of options for you. There are a lot of things it is worth you considering in more depth. Are you wanting to keep the garage? If you could remove it then you'll be a lot more free in what you can do to the back. The relatively small extension to the side will need quite a lot of structural work to open it to the rest of the house. This might not be worth it when you take into account how little the space is that you're adding. There are plenty of other approaches you can take though. I'd love to help you out with this. If you made outer wall then its okay to build window on the side, your neighbor privacy will be maintained and you can get the sunlight needed, I would advise to move the garage to the front so it can be accessible for a car from the main road, you can still have direct path to the garden from the front if you move the enterance to the right and just put a fence, if it were me here's the layout i will do, it'll give more space for closet, bigger bath, utility room, and additional storage unit, so basically move the wall to the left and focus buildng that side, the previous garage will become the new master bedroom with en-suite

oh old post to practice, the obvious choice is first floor extention but this only if the ground foundation on the back supports for this floor. Its mirroring the outer wall of the ground floor so enough area, there also alternative option of cantilever steel beams or concrete floor slab for first floor side extention though maybe need additional permit . Bedroom 3 will slightly Bigger than original, Plan A Plan B - Very Narrow Hallway Plan C - With Cantilever
