Hello Louise, Not at all! I have been there.. had to explain how to do the job, what to use and then finish it myself!.. So no I would not say it's over reacting.. Varnishes though like any colours can either look amazing or not as we had imagined.. even if we have samples... They probably look more accentuated because they are really new.. You're not used to them.. so before making any decisions about what to do next.. I'd say see how you feel in a week or two if you can.. then if you still hate the way the colour is looking, then decide for sure... : ))

Hi OnePlan hope you're well! I think the table needs to be centred to the doors. In our current dining room we have a sideboard just under a meter behind the dining table and I find it a pain getting past to go to the utility. At least in the Plan A that wouldn't be a problem though. The table we have is extendable so can be 132 x 92, 165 x 92 or 198 x 92. If we had just one leaf in 165 x 92 do you think it looks odd against the big island? 132 x 92 looks ridiculous. LOL.

Okay, I´ve quickly tried some things out or you, that you may or may not like. But just to give you a visual and hopefully some ideas. I think that as long as you get the colours coming back, maybe in different strengths, it´ll all work together. The photo that you like is the Decorating Design Ideas one, I think? If you look closely, you'll see that black & white graphic patterns return, yellow, pink and turquoise too. And the wood and leather and gold are all warm tones that are close together.. Top it all off with plants and voila, you have your eclectic room ;-) I think the rug brings it all together
