Hi. What's the distance between the rug and wall? It doesn't look as if a sofa would fit but potentially a slim console table depending on the measurements. Do you mean french country style?

I think you need at least 3ft gap between the table and wall, more if it's an entrance/corridor etc. If you move the table towards the fire it obviously means moving the rug, sorry to state the obvious!, and I think you'd need 12-18 inches gap between the fire and rug for it to work. Maybe try moving it and then measure the gap the other side

It's hard to tell without seeing it from the other angle. Would anyone sit on a sofa behind a table? If there was a console table, what would be on it? If it was my room, I would try to move the table further away from the stove, and maybe squeeze in a little armchair near the stove...I can't tell if you have the space for that.

Hiya, I think you should leave it as it is. It is hard to tell unless you see the room from another angle to see how much space you have still in the room. It looks like it may be too tight to add more furniture into the space.
