Bathroom makeover - any suggestion?
Comments (5)I think katie is right - definitely something lighter and brighter than the surrounding tiles as it doesn't look like there's any natural light in this space. Personally I would go for a pale marble - if you order a few different samples you should be able to find one that picks up on the tone in the remaining tiles....See Morevery old bathroom makeover
Comments (13)The bathroom measures 12ft x 7ft. I have a budget of around £1,000 for this room as in the very near future we will split the second bedroom to make a smaller bedroom and separate bathroom and put this bathroom back to bedroom 3. The carpets curtains and wallpaper are definitely going. The wall at the side of the loo looks bad but it’s just peeling paper. The walls may need skimming but this can be done along with the lounge. The house is at present is a 2 bed 110 year old semi detached cottage style property so although I’m young (20) I don’t want anything too modern....See MoreFamily Bathroom makeover
Comments (8)Morning Paulouise! I'm one of the designers here at Bathroom Eleven, in Surrey. White is definitely a way to bring lightness to a room, however, do always bear in mind the practicality of things like a white floor... it shows up a lot of towel fibers and dirt! A few things I would bear in mind when creating a brief with a client for this kind of bathroom is: - feature walls; a great way to create a sense of depth, particularly with that back wall of the bath/shower area - Keeping textures simple and not overcrowding. A usual error made when wanting to implement more storage is placing something wherever it will fit. Inevitably, this will make the room feel smaller as it will make the walls feel closer and create shadows on the floor giving the illusion of losing floor space - Lighting! Lighting is key! Feature lighting to eradicate shadows is a great way to make floor space feel bigger. - Wall hung Units and WC - keeping things off the floor will give the illusion of a bigger footprint to the room - Mirrors. If you can afford the space to have a nice big mirror on the other wall, that would help to give the room extra width, too. I hope these tips help! Happy to chat more if you want to drop us a message, or if you're local to Surrey, pop down to our showroom and design studio :) Thanks! - Adam...See MoreBathroom makeover
Comments (11)A pale pink will work nicely with the green and give a softer, warmer and more flattering light to the room than the white. Unless the rest of your house is painted white, then leaving the bathroom white will look like you've just done the undercoat and still need to paint the real colour....See Morecazzajo
