I've recently replaced a nice lidded basket, which was falling apart, with another nice lidded basket, rattan or something similar. Keep it in the bedroom. It is big enough and can accommodate a week laundry without overflowing. There is another slim design bamboo basket in the utility room for used kitchen towels or anything else that need to go in the basket while we are downstairs. Both look very nice, there is no need to hide them.

Sadly I don't have a utility room. This would be the answer. I keep one in my bedroom, and my daughter has one brown leather one in her room for her own laundry and the baskets to hold washing to the machine is kept in the bathtub. We have 4 altogether which is needed especially for holding the duvet covers and sheets. If I de-clutter then I can put the baskets in my sliding wardrobe.

I don't, I do a wash sometimes two every day!

On the landing. I have a study fabric bag in a pretty grey & cream print.

I use a laundry bag , hanging on the back of each bedroom door. Its a little larger than a pilliowcase with a drawstring top and has the letters 'laundry' fabric, colourful cotton.

I don't either - why would you need to - it's a bit like having compost heap a la maison. Just do the washing!!!

On landing, a lovely oblong rattan one. If it wasn't on show,the dirty laundry would be all over the floor with having a household of men. 99% of the time it does make it into the basket!

I do the laundry every day even when it rains.

No linen baskets . Have a laundry chute which opens on top floor in bathroom,runs down thru my bedroom - where ther is another access door, and finishes in the basement laundry room. Here it all lands in a huge plastic tub where Its sorted by the laundry maid (Me) into standard plastic lidded laundry baskets, light, dark, special wash. Large household - lots of people of all sizes + shapes, need a whole room really to keep on top of laundry. Large industrial size washing machine.... Laundry room is my female version of a man-shed

Love the idea of a laundry chute, though, clever, very clever!

I put things that need washing in the washing machine.

A laundry chute would be the dream! I don't actually need it though, I live in a flat. But just the thought of it would make laundry way more fun.

I have a walk-in storage cupboard in the kitchen where various things such as vacuum cleaner and dirty laundy etc are kept out of sight in a large canvas standing laundry basket.

That dead space behind the bedroom door. I never close the door so no-one knows the laundry is there. The cat sleeps on top of the box on a silk cushion and I painted the box black with silver swirls. Everyone assumes itis just storage.
