Kitchen and Side Return - Advice Please ...

Hello all. I am just about to move into a Victorian garden flat, and I am seeking help with making the best use of space by extending into the side. I hope the pictures capture well the space, and the potential.
The key things that I am bearing in mind are:
1. The load bearing wall to the left of the kitchen (as you look at the kitchen), and inbetween the kitchen and the side space.
2. The desire to include a full a 6 seater dining table, as well as some informal eating area (could be an island or a breakfast bar).
3. To maintain the light to the second bedroom (can be viewed in the picture of the side space).
All ideas very welcome! Hoping to begin work in October time.
