Comments (8)If budget will stretch you could look at coloured glass. Most glaziers can put any colour on the back for you and template the area with sockets included then fit it all relatively quickly. Having a solid colour could help things look less fussy between the pattern of the wood grain and speckle of the worktop plus it really helps expand the space (as you look through it) and bounce the light around to brighten the space slightly....See MoreNeed ideas for backsplash

I personally like the glass panel splash back but this wouldn't go with your cabinets. However tiles, such as metro tiles, mosaic or patterned tiles would perfectly suit the style you have. Comments (4)We didn’t have one put behind our sink but we have a boiling water tap and it splutters all the time and I’m forever cleaning the wall. The paint is supposed to be for kitchens but it can only endure so many washes! We will eventually put one on - perhaps a 12” glass one so the dark paint on the walls will show through. You could consider tiling a couple of rows or get solid colours ie pure white if your sink wall is only ever going to be white....See More- 13 years ago
