I think your eventual choice will depend on the colour you pick for the units. While creams/sand/limestone coloured doors will work nicely with your choice of granite, I still think white will go too. As to tiles, I'd probably go for a porcelain with a bit of physical texture (some "grit") and tones which mix beiges through to greys. This should pick up the mix of the granite. Alternatively, I'd look at wood effect Karndean or Palioclik (possibly Arezzo) in a Sand Oak type colour. Sample image here. Hope this gives you some ideas - and let us know what you decide! Hi I was looking some help and guidance as my head is melted with all the decisions that come with building a house. I'm trying to create a timesless modern kitchen and I've decided to go ammonite cabinets and on my island I have a warm white grey quartz with a wooden breakfast bar. I dont know what colour to put on my walls. I have tried strong white farrow and ball which I like, cornforth white and purbeck stone which I think might be too dark. I have attached a few photos. The last one is the computer generated image. I have light colour tile on my floors too. I have tried railings on the wall that is featuring the ovens. (the ovens will also be cased in the same wood as on the island) but it seems too black. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tara x

Do you require two doors into the kitchen/living space? If possible I would look at the options of removing the door on the right and moving the other door to left to line up with the front door in the hallway. It looks like you could pottentially gain a fair amoutn of space if this is possible.
