My favourite thing about Christmas is seeing 4 generations together under one roof, which is something to be treasured considering the age of the oldest generation! Oh and seeing great grandad give piggy back rdes to his grandchildren - you would never believe he was 83!

My favourite thing about Christmas is getting some quality time relaxing with the family, everyone getting overexcited about upholding all of our silly little family traditions, getting to wear pjs all day and a nap being totally acceptable, and of course a damn good Christmas lunch and champagne for breakfast isn't bad either!

It's got to be the board games. Everyone pretending to be really blasé and unfazed when actually the idea of losing is unbearable. Or is that just in my family?

My favourite thing about Christmas despite the schmaltz and commercialism is that people use it as an opportunity to get in touch with old friends, see family and give to charity - just generally being more generous and open.

I work in a school and love the awe-struck faces on the kids at this time of year. That and everyone being extra nice to each other!!

I love the cosiness of being with family, when everyone is happy and content after their Christmas dinner

(ideally, a sprinkle of snow with the logfire on), the scent of the tree, with carols playing, watching typical xmas films, giving gifts and hopefully seeing a smile on the person's face, family togetherness dinner.

My favourite thing is the Advent competitions.so many new pages, to discover and sign up to. Thenevery day until Christmas a reason to have a few hours me time ,as everyone in the family wants me to win something.

Healthy family for me is a winner each Christmas. I remember my daughters first Christmas when we didn't know if she'd be out of hospital or not. She was released a few days before Santa's arrival at 6 weeks old. We've had a few other hairy Christmas' with 2 kids in hospital for the weeks leading up to Christmas but they've always managed to make it out in time. Mind you it makes Christmas decorating and shopping tricky but it always gets done :-)

Everything...being all together, the food, the tree, the cards with annual letters inside, the relaxing time, singing carols, Boxing Day swim in the sea!

It is buying presents, I spend half a year deciding things to buy my better half and then at Christmas I can finally buy her things, she doesn't need at all, but I need her to have them, to make up for accidentally annoying her the rest of the year.

We hire a real tree from heelys farm that comes back ever year heres the note we leave on it , Just to let you know my name is no longer 27 but it’s Ropey. I have been staying with Philip and Micheala Yelland of Machon Bank. This is my second visit and I have enjoyed my time with them and wish to return next year.Please look after me until my return as I want it to be my forever home even when I am 7 foot high, although they may have to get me delivered then.Thank youRopey
