Posted here a few days back re my kitchen as just missing something. Some good comments re de-cluttering etc which I will do. However I'm thinking on three options and would appreciate people helping me choose one! Curse of the indecisive. Original pics below.
1. Stick with the red accessories and paint, tidy, artwork, possibly add a splash back etc to jazz up
2. Take the ££ hit and phase out the red going with a cream, copper and sage/olive green theme
3. Be bold and paint kitchen olive green working in a red / green theme

Comments (43)I am lucky enough to live in a flatshare that has a fireplace, even if it doesn't work! I just love the way it brings the room together and encourages snuggling up on the sofas with a nice cup of hot tea and a good book to read! There is something very homely about a fireplace and although our one is bare of any mantlepiece decorations, one of my favorite artworks claimed its spot above it almost as soon as I stepped foot in the house! The color of the marble and the undertones in the paintings couldn't have worked any better if I wanted them to and I feel like the dimensions are pretty well balanced! Comments (8)Okay, I'm sorry for reviving this but can you guys please choose another piece for me. I feel guilty for asking again, but I need help! So now I have the blue curtains, the yellow dining chairs, my light grey sofa will be arriving soon facing right, in front of the right blue curtains. Definately ditch the red! Go for neutral tones and if you want to add in an accent colour go for something a little calmer like your idea with the sagey greens, they work exceptionally well with your worktop!
