Here is my dilemma......Torguay v Lusso

I did not think the Lusso had a lot of motion. The golden specks in the lusso may be very complimentary to your floor. Check your available slabs as some are more gray than others. Every batch of quartz made will be slightly different. Sometimes photos don't show color exactly, but I think the Lusso would look great with the floor.

Hi A C - can you post your finished room with Lusso? I am about to embark on a project and leaning towards this material.

I too would like to see photos where folks have used Lusso in their projects. I am leaning toward using it in a Rustic Luxe bathroom in our mountain home under construction. It will be paired with Knotty Alder cabinets in a Natural Umber finish, and I think the brown and copper veining will add the warmth. while maintaining the Luxe look of marble, to the project.

rfindygal, your Lusso is gorgeous! Thanks to your photo, I'm definitely going with it for my Master Bath. What color paint are you thinking about? A designer on Facebook paired Lusso with a Sherwin Williams called Ghost Pines. It was a small pick of a sample cabinet door, the Lusso and a large paint chip, but the results were visually stunning!

Hello fellow Lusso enthusiasts! We're hoping to have Lusso in our new house (new build) with off-white, creamy cabinets. Has anyone had issues with it in terms of staining?

I just chose Lusso for my counters. I searched through granite and quartz for months, but discovered Lusso today and immediately knew it was perfect. Cabinets are being painted BM White Dove and now I am looking for the perfect backsplash. I like the gray tone in tiles, but my ceiling is pine and I have brown barnboard for walls so I will be looking more toward the beige tones. Good luck to everyone. Please share your backsplash ideas….I think we have chosen well.

I'm thinking about combining Lusso counter with these Omega (magnolia colored) cabinets. A friend thought it looked like "beige on beige" when I thought it was a warm gray cabinet against a creamy/gray/golden countertop (with a white tile backsplash)

Looking at Cambria Berkley or Cambria Windermere to go with light oak cabinets and white appliances. Just can't decide. Any help is appreciated!

We started looking at very light quartz counter tops - Lusso & Pulsar. Then decided they were too light for our kitchen and moved to Cambria Windermere or Berkley - but I'm still undecided. Just recently saw a picture of Silestone Quasar, but not yet in person. I love the sparkle in Cambria; does anyone know if the Quasar has sparkles also? Such a tough decision. I hope to post photos a bit later. Thanks again!

Going for an effect similar to this, but modern. We chose flat faced cabinet faces. Cherry on bottom and white on top. Silestone Lusso counter.

This is not our kitchen.

We chose to let the Lusso be the star of the show and keep the backsplash more interesting than white, but subtler than many other backsplashes.

Cabinets: We chose two tone kitchen. Cherry stained maple on the bottom cabinet. And "Benjamin Moore OC-117 Simply White" for the top cabinets. (Cabinets are Ikea with custom fronts) fronts we used www.thecabinetfronts.com

Big help for us in choosing whites was the whites ebook from Maria Killam We did just as her book instructs and made LARGE (1/2 posterboard sized) samples of four different whites and observed them in the room at different times of the day. It became obvious very quickly which white would show as dirty and which would show off the Lusso. BUT every kitchen is different, so you can't go with what others say. You must test in your own room with your own lighting and other finishes. www.MariaKillam.com

Backsplash: The backsplash (so far) is 3" x 12" glass tiles from Gramar. They are a pale goldish tint with some shimmer at the back (no name available) which looks great with the countertop gold veins. When the Lusso is next to the backsplash, it turns the backsplash an even lighter shade of gold, almost white. I would prefer a solid tile, but the husband loves glass, so here we are.

We are installing the tile in long stacked style. Not bricklaying style. It's a small kitchen and we are using the optical illusion to add some length.

Turns out the gold tile is the same color as our ipad cover...haha!!!

Flooring: CoreTec Oak - closest match we could get to our real oak floors w/out doing real oak. Laundry and kitchen we wanted WATERPROOF.

We'll post before and after photos when it's done. And we'll see if we got the right blend of colors. ;-)

We are considering using Lusso for our kitchen counters and having a hard time deciding between off-white or white cabinets (we are installing red oak hardwood and have this flooring throughout our house). Any suggestions? Thank you!

I would definitely recommend going to the showroom and looking at a large slab of lusso or any stone you are considering. I originally chose lusso for my kitchen countertop based off a small sample from Lowes. But after going to see it on a large scale in the showroom I didn’ t like it at all. It appeared very yellow looking and with a fake look design to me. Maybe it was just a bad piece but I was very happy I took the time to see it on a large scale. I eventually went with Lyra.

Thinking about replacing my countertop with lusso. I would like to keep my backsplash though. Do you think it would be too busy?

I’m seriously considering lusso too because it’s simple. Prairie/mission cabinets in oak. Floor is staying and is older white porcelain tile that matches the lusso really well. This is the backsplash I’m obsessed with but it won’t be ever whet.

We used Silestone Lusso in an apartment that we renovated love the color!

@rureadyinla - thank you so much for the pictures - they show the pattern well. Does yours have the wonderful copper-toned veins it in? That is the big draw for us as we have some copper accents in the home.

What type of sinks are you pairing with your Lusso? We are torn between a cast iron ceramic in white (NOT the farmhouse style) or a stainless steel one. We have wood cabinetry.

We are currently gathering ideas for a future kitchen redo; we have knotty pine floors, and plan to go darker with cabinets, and light on the counter. I really want to play off the copper lights over the table and Silestone Lusso is a definite contender. I also want to see Pulsar too as it seems to have a similar color scheme.

Any thoughts on pairing lusso with kohler biscuit colored sinks?
