Hello,
I wondered if anyone could help me. We are looking to put a fire proof screen in between our kitchen and hallway, in order to comply with the building regs by which you must have a door between the kitchen and the buildings escape route. We originally pulled down the wall to open up the space and we would still like to maintain that feel by putting in some kind of glass screen.
My original plan was to have a fire proof crittal wall and door installed, however this is proving to be an incredibly expensive option. I thought that as an alternative we could perhaps get a screen and door made by a carpenter with fire proof glass, however do not know if this is something someone could do.
Has anyone any ideas or had experience of this issue and could recommend what the best procedure should be? I am based in London.
Many thanks in advance!
