Comments (5)I personally do not like TVs over a fireplace. I know it’s very popular but they are not good for watching TV as they are too high and can cause neck pain and headaches. I wonder how many of those people visit the doctors complaining of neck and head pain! A TV should be at eye level or below when you are sitting down. Also wouldn’t the heat from the fire cause possible damage to the TV? Have your fire by all means, but the TV is better on a low unit on one side of the fireplace, depending on where your sofas are placed. Don’t discard electric fires. Comments (16)Hi, thanks. It was only washed down when we had super dry hot weather last year in the lockdown and it was left for quite a while to dry but its only the bottom which was sprayed that the paint has flaked off. It got wet there from water dropping from the window cill and also leaking gutters which I've now repaired as there is a damp brick course 2 bricks up from the bottom of the garage so it never sits in water. It just doesn't get any sun down the bottom side do algae loves it 🙊 We go on the market in 5 weeks so no time to grow any greenery sadly...See MoreAny ideas how I could hide/disguise this boiler flue please?
Comments (4)You could also try painting the pipe. It looks as though you have a pebbledashed wall. I wouldn't suggest painting the actual wall but if you could find a pebbly brown/grey colour and paint the pipe itself and maybe the cage, then with the planter and trellis I think that it would pretty much disappear....See MoreGill
