Help! What colour should I paint my render????
Comments (5)I think from Sandtex the Ivory Stone would probably be my choice. Cornish Cream is very very pure cream, too much so for my tastes. Illustrated White, Sandstone or Mid Stone are less cream but would probably do well with the patio. I think, though, most of the cream and the more yellow stone colours would look great, and you don't need to fret about choosing the right one. Also, it's only paint, and a single story extension is very little trouble to repaint if you later feel you've got it wrong or just want a change. Comments (16)Thank you Colorhappy, I was secretly hoping you would comment as you clearly know all about colour, something I definitely struggle with a little. I think your suggestion of a stone colour for the render and a green blue for the doors would look lovely, and I love the idea of it relating to the greenery in the garden. Do you have any suggestions for a stone colour? I have looked at F&B for the green/blue, they have a paint actually named green/blue, but I am not sure if this is too much of a literal interpretation of your advice :-) I also like the oval room blue too, do you think this could work? I love Stiffkey blue, but not sure if this is too rich/deep a colour and would end up looking dark? The front of the house faces north but still gets lots of great light, the house is elevated somewhat so it is never in shadow if that makes any difference to our choice of colour?...See Morehelp with render and cladding please
Comments (20)P.s. I would measure the roofing tiles too given half a chance. So you can assure yourself all colours on the exterior work well together. (Even if a roof tile looks grey to you, it still belongs to one of those hue families,,,,why fight with it when you can harmonise?) 🤓...See Moreminnie101
