Bathroom layout help...
Option 2 is a possibility if we move the door to the bathroom, which we could do, but I am then not sure about the door opening back against the shower or the toilet, which may chop the room up too much?
We would love to hear your comments or any feedback, or maybe you think we are missing a totally different option? I think sometimes fresh eyes are needed when you have looked at something for too long! :-)
Our requirements for the room are a large shower, ideally open ended walk in, heated towel rail, toilet and a large basin area/unit. We do not need to fit a bath in as we have one elsewhere. The basin does not work under the window for us a we would like a large mirror above the sink for shaving etc.

I believe there is a small basin in the room with the toilet (the image was taken from the estate agents website so they must have have drawn it in). But agreed with @Carolina we would need another sink in the bathroom, as you say we should be able to fit a small one! @minnie10 yes similar idea to above, I will try this out on paper, seems like the best option. Comments (5)It feels a little cramped to me as your access to the bath is so restricted. I’ve just put this layout together that might be worth a try. (it would require a slightly smaller bath) if you can, get some boxes in there to represent furniture and move around it before committing to anything. Also, are you planning a freestanding bath and tap?? this might look squashed in and therefore make the room feel smaller (also really hard to keep it clean round the back) I would consider a back to wall bath with the space you have. re towel rail, bit stumped on that too, could it go behind the door??...See MoreBathroom Layout Help
Comments (8)I guess it’s too late now but I would have considered employing the services of a chippy or joiner to purpose make to size the tallboy, vanity unit and then something to fill the void at the bottom of the bath (perhaps just a top that could lift up and use it for storage). As it is with the 300 gap somewhere between the tallboy and the vanity unit and then a gap at the bottom of the bath it is a bit messy and disjointed....See More- 9 years ago
Thank you both for your comments, I do agree it will be nicer to be faced with the vanity unit/basin area as you enter the room rather than the other option of shower screen and loo as you walk in. My original plan was for a double vanity, but we have kind of talked ourselves out of it as it is just the two of us and we have another bathroom, meaning hopefully no queue for the basin. I had talked myself out of the cost of a second basin and taps too....and one less basin to clean! I was planning on having a large vanity area though as the focal point but just with the one sink.....now you have me thinking about reverting to the idea of a double vanity.. :-)
The plan was for something simple like this below, but with a monochrome colour scheme, per the second pic... what do you think? I cannot find any pictures that better show what I have in mind at the moment.

Thank you for posting these! I love the slimline wall hung unit in your first picture, it is pretty much exactly what I have been looking for, they are very difficult to find and those I have seen are incredibly expensive... :-( I also really like the second photo, love the dark vanity unit! We are going with a traditional vanity in the main bathroom, and I have been surprised by how expensive and hard to find they are in the UK, they seem to be standard bathroom fittings in the US, Wayfair's US site has lots of options, sadly not so in the UK....Unless you have upwards of £2000 to spend, then you have to factor in the cost of taps, mirrors etc. on top. I've gone off topic, sorry, but wondered if anyone had found a good supplier for vanity units, this is my absolute favourite...
