Hi, yes you would be looking at 2 small sofas if you had them facing each other. So the options you could have:- 1) Corner sofa with the L section being on the door side (presuming you want to keep your TV where it is) and the longest part away from the wall so there is a space to walk behind it. 2) keep the long sofa where it is and bring the smaller one around so it faces away from the windows (entrance door behind it). This will only work if there is space to leave a gap to walk through. 3) leave the sofa where it is (or bring it forward depending on how much width you have in the room? And put 2 x single chairs opposit each other in the same place it was suggested to have 2 x sofas. So it would be a C shape.

The Luxury of made to measure bespoke furniture is you get to choose exactly what you would like your sofa be from fabric, colour, type of cushion filling to the exact dimensions you require. I also think the other advantage is you can also custom the sofa to fit the space in which it sits to maximise space. I would in my experience say that if you prepared to pay a certain amount for a sofa that there isn't that much in the overall cost but find that you may actually get a bit more for your money for instance a lovely feather foam wrapped cushion against a hallow fibre dacron seat cushion, sprung seat section instead of webbing that kind of thing. If you find a style why not ask for a comparison cost you maybe pleasantly surprised. My only real advise would be to make a full list of specifications for your upholsterer to work to such as how soft you would like the seat so he has some clear guidelines.

I'm trying to use neutral, earthy colours in the living room, but am worried about it looking and feeling a bit bland. I've bought these two throws for the couch; one will blend with the greige paint and rug and the other is a bit more of a colour 'pop', but not sure if it will detract too much from the rug. With respect to the rug Minnie, if I turn it 90 degrees it won't be wide enough for the legs of the couch to sit on, so not sure I want to do that, it may make the room appear slightly smaller? Anyhow - would I best to use softer, plain colours and accessories for the couch, so that the eye is drawn to the rug? Should that be the focus when entering the room?

Is your chesterfield a dark colour? Either of the second two would lighten the whole look. You could get another plainer chesterfield style in linen to contrast with the leather. Consider slip covers if you chose cream, maybe a pale grey would be more foregiving and match your silvery wallpaper.
