Overall I think it looks fine. It's certainly an improvement on what was there! The lounge area works well tho I'd be tempted not to have all those matching cushions. A bit more texture would help. The dining area looks a little at odds to me because of the height of that unit. It kind of looks unfinished. Can you add to the height of it with some display items on top? I'd also try to get more of the teal into that side of the room.

I think you have done a great job... If you wanted you could add texture and maybe a different colour to your cushions to shake things up a bit..also maybe a rug with a pattern on it?

Here is a photo I have found.. Now it may not be your style but it's really just to show different colours of cushions together and also a rug with pattern.

What a transformation, the room looks lovely. I would re-arrange the cushions to not have so much older, if that makes sense and introduce some pattern, and textures through printed cushion covers, maybe a throw draped over the sofa, or even the introduction of a new colour ever so slightly.

The leather sofas and floor tiles prevent it from being warm or contemporary.

You've done a fantastic job here - its sooo much better :-) . I agree that it needs some art hanging up, & it also needs plants to add life (maybe a hanging plant to add some height?). I agree the cushions are a bit matchy-matchy, and the coffee table is set up a bit twee - needs a more relaxed vignette. You could swap the brown lamp on the cabinet for a more colourful one, & add some colourful pots/vases to the cabinet as well.

I just felt there were a lot of square edges and straight lines in the room preventing it from being cosy, which is difficult anyway in a room of such a size. Would you consider adding some rounded edges maybe in a coffee table, rug or dining table or some oval wall mirrors maybe?

I think a statement lighting over the living area may also create the impact you may be hoping for as spots are flush.

I quite like the square lines; it zones the spaces although a rounded coffee table may create a new edge.

Personally.. I think some plants would make the space feel a bit less sterile. Big plants, maybe a large fern of fig tree. Check out patch.garden for inspo

A large patterned, colourful rug and some bookshelves. It's always good to be in a room and feel the taste and personality of whoever lives there. A rug helps, ditto pictures, books and the odd decorative item.

Huge improvement!!....I would think about changing the colour scheme though (cushion covers , curtains, rug etc) ...blues and greys are cold colours, maybe an injection of soft pinks and coppers which also work well with grey. Lighting also plays an important part in the ambience of a room if your wanting to create a cosier warmer atmosphere i would add more decorative softer lighting. You could also add a warmer colour to the chimney breast to tie in with the new colour scheme maybe replace the fire surround for something more contemporary or add some texture to the chimney breast ...grey/white brick effect tiles would add interest.

Move your rug under the sectional, so that front legs of sectional are on it. I would add some wall art above the fireplace on mantle.

I think the room is most of the way there but for me there are a couple of hard elements that need softening and a couple of things that I think are not sitting so well.
I think that the floor and sofa are quite hard looking. A rug under the dining table and a sofa throw could help. Personally I would choose bigger rugs to cover more floor as I think the colour is less contemporary than the rest of the room. I think a couple of oversized house plants could help too.
In my opinion the overhead lighting is a little harsh and you should add some table and standard lights.
Personally I would prefer to see curtains that match the front windows, behind the dining table. I would remove the picture rail that seems to circle only half the room. I also think that the cabinets would have more presence if against a darker coloured wall and wall mounted so the taller cabinets would be window height.

Oh, I've also dropped the blind, so it shows more fabric and covers the top of the door frame. Looks a bit softer. And I removed the picture rail.

I think if I had the budget I would change the floor. If not I would get larger rugs. I am not liking the teal cushions; I would go for texture & could do teal but not with the stripes add a throw. All the bits look quite small i.e. on the mantlepiece & on the coffee table I would use bolder statement pieces. I think overall you have done a great job, love the door colour just needs tweaking. We all have different opinions on what we like ! Best of luck.

First of all, fantastic job! In order to lift the space and make it a little warmer, I would definitely consider adding some texture. How about throwing a sheepskin throw on the sofa?

Adding some art work on your walls will also help tighten the story in your space.

The reason your pallets feels a little cold is because your sofa is leather and the teal cushions. I would consider replacing the teal cushions for a warmer colour or even throwing in some textured cushions for warmth. Graham and Green have a fab range of cushions at really good prices.
