Comments (10)To give you a wild card what about a maple laminate or even a nice modern carpet in a cream or pale grey, pale blue or pale pink. Yes you'll see what I'm getting at a pale colour of flooring would be better looking in my opinion. ( I have oak hardwood flooring with a really pale silver grey wall in my lounge I also have OHW in my hallway with Apple white walls so I concur with the oak suggestion too although I wanted maple coloured hard wood when we were decorating??!! Comments (2)Oh Sonia. We have tried that already and it didn't go well. He walked away and basically said that he told us the floor wasn't level. To be fair in the middle of fitting it he said to me "your floor is off" but didn't offer a way to fix it. I responded with oh is it? Comments (2)There tends to be more waste with herringbone, so you will need to allow for this in quantity of flooring required as you often will need more flooring than when laid straight. Although it may look straightforward, depending on your room shape, it can be complex and very time consuming at the edges.
