I think you would actually be ok with taking the color over it all. It probably depends more on how you wanted the room to feel. The current lighter tone gives space to the room, but your selection Oval Room Blue, would probably give you a more intimate feel. With white items such as wardrobes etc, it could end up giving a coastal feel which you could build on as a theme with linen bedclothes, lampshades, blinds.

Just my view for most practical approach: Tile wall behind loo and sink up to window sill height only. Wall along length of bath tile up to height of showerhead and continue around onto shower head wall. Tiled skirting around remaining walls (neater and better for mopping) and paint everything else. Unless the tiling is the key design feature of a bathroom, I always prefer to keep it as minimal as possible - cheaper, quicker and less messy. Paint colour is easier to change if you feel like it, tiling isn't.

I thought that but I’m not sure if you can see from the pictures, the gable ends are going to be all glass so I think the wardrobes there might distort the angle of the window?!? This feels like my problem child at the moment. Maybe I need to wait until the ashlar walls are in and see how it looks then…. Think I’m going to need to get someone to properly help me design the rooms!

If I understand your sectional elevations correctly then the basin/vanity is on the 1.6m side? The basin height will be 800mm to 850mm above finished floor level. You have 800mm over the basin for a mirror and or mirrored unit. There are too many brands to mention but I would look for a mirrored shallow bathroom wall cabinet. Think about splashback too or is it going to be fully tiled? As space is tight it might be possible to recess the cabinet slightly into the outside wall. The architects drawing shows wall mounted taps. Are you planning these because if you are this gives you even less depth to work with.
