Comments (36)Yellow was very popular in the late 1980s - often paired with royal blue or duck egg. As a colour it stimulates brain activity so it's sometimes used in school classrooms. If you must use it, use a F&B wallpaper for your feature wall which includes the yellow. Or scrap the existing feature wall and have the entire room yellow and go shopping for textiles that go with it...See MoreHelp! What floor should I have in my Kitchen
Comments (28)We are not finished yet but had the same dilema as you. Also a similar shape (L shape around island). We fell in love with a wood herringbone floor but practically it was a bad idea in the kitchen area. We ended up tiling the L shape and (although kitchen isn't finished yet) we are VERY happy with the decision. Comments (3)You could add another stop cock where you want the new stop cock to go and just leave the old stop cock fully open, if the old stop cock isn't in the way. If its the old black alkathene pipe or the newer blue pipe then you can move it quite easily with basic plumbing skills. If you can't do any plumbing then get a professional in. If you do move the stop cock don't forget your earth bonding also has to move....See MoreHow to stop heat in South facing room with bifolds

It's about £1200 and although it won't be used a huge amount (it's a heater as well) it will be half the price of getting proper blinds in and will be instant cooling as I think the room will still feel warm even with blinds. (we have two roof lights as well!) For living purposes it's never an issue - we just open the door but much harder to deal with with guests in....See MorePatrina
