Comments (2)Personally, I think corner sofas really restrict positioning and getting 2 gives you a lot more flexibility. Re the radiators, I would try and avoid putting any behind the sofa on the right hand side as the sofa will soak up lots of the heat. Instead I would suggest going for a vertical model instead and putting it to the side of the French doors. Give me a call on 01274 515734 if you need some advice regarding heat outputs, etc....See MoreHelp please. Kitchen wall colour
Comments (13)I would use Farrow and Ball slipper Satin looking at your room and the cupboard colours and the floor colour all round. Will give you warmth, will be more modern than what you have as has a grey in it (but a very warm grey, not strong at all, a creamy greeny light grey depending on time of day), and won’t be harsh like the 3 colours you chose, they are very very strong and you may regret it. I hate to be a spoilsport but everyone I know who wanted to be different and used a very dark wall or colour on a normal semi style house ended up regretting and repainting. Slipper satin will look just right in my opinion being both safe but dark enough. Unless you had windows on 2 sides I wouldn’t go dark anywhere. Also, keep the window areas whiter, not bright white (that has blue in it), just regular white. Just my humble opinion based on looking at hundreds of show homes (and still not being happy with any) lol......See MoreI need help/advise with a wrap around extension floor levels!
Comments (15)Hi OnePlan, I love Kirsty's kitchen and I had a similar idea, I will post a piccy to let you see. I have recently downsized from a detached Victorian sandstone . I loved all the different rooms I had, huge rooms with high ceilings. This is why we are keeping the rooms kinda the same, just making them bigger in keeping with what I am used to. The only room I am adding is a utility /pantry room. This will allow me to reduce the units I have in the kitchen so I can configure it as in the picture. Having a separate formal lounge is a big bonus for me as its always ready for visitors. I also have a bit of a crafter / sewing hobby, when the time allows! So its important I can keep the mess away from the rest of the house. (Well until I can persuade my other half to build me a room in the garden!!) Any thoughts on the benefits of having the extension built all on ground level? Would it be a lot more expensive? I just thought if there was foundations being dug out anyway and the equipment was already on site, it would make sense?...See MoreHelp need advise about leaky ceiling
Comments (5)Hi Steven, I think you are using too much water with your cleaner. Chipboard floors are not designed to get wet so don't need to be siliconed. Likewise you must not splash too much water on your bathroom floor. With my 4 year old we put down a towel when we know there's going to be water everywhere. If your chipboard gets wet repeatedly it will start to sag and eventually fall apart. If you siliconed it, it would hold water, which would be worse. Think of it as really thick cardboard! (It's really not much better than that.)...See More- 8 years ago
