Behind the bed head board I would be putting an interesting wallpaper - stripy or floral maybe if you're stayin :)

Other 3 walls, plain neutral either a few tones darker than the wardrobe.

Handles change all for something slightly larger and make a feature of them. Maybe think about getting a radiator with a full length mirror within it (see below) so you can actually use that wall meaning you can move current mirror?

Re hang door so hinges are on right! That give a little food for thought? :)

Your bed seems perfect for a nice soft romantic look, I would go for a floral paper behind bed (Raipur floral from wall paperdirect) is romantic but bang on trend colour wise, if you could, put fitted wardrobes along the wall behind the door, move your dresser to the alcove where your wardrobe is now, maybe invest in some drawers for under the bed also, storage seems a bit of a problem, and I would go with maybe stiffkey blue paint for the rest of the walls. This will give a nice cosy atmosphere to your room. A place to go and unwind. You could you white and silver accessories for that fresh feeling too. Nothing like crisp white bed linen. In the interests of promoting restful and untroubled sleep, I think I'd lose the vivarium!!

I'd move the wardrobe, so that you're facing better height objects from the bed.

Ideally I would also move the Vivariam out of the bedroom, then move the chest of drawers to between the door and the attic door, and, putting a dressing table area over near the window.

I moved the bed over a little, so that it's directly facing the fireplace area, put a radiator cover over the rad, wallpapered the chimney stack in a co-ordinating colour to the Hague blue wall behind the bed.

Thank you all for your replies. I love the idea of wallpapering the chimney breast with the bed head wall painted blue. I will try moving the wardrobe to the window wall too. I do have enough storage, it’s just some old clothes I need to put in a charity bag that clutters my floor I don’t really have anywhere else to put the vivarium I need a bigger house was thinking about putting it in front of the window with a big cushion on it to look like a window seat.
